Cynthia (Cindy) Summers, DrPH, MPH
President & CEO
Dr. Cynthia Summers is President & CEO of Athenium Pharmaceuticals, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight of our product portfolio. Cindy brings decades of experience across the public health and health care sectors, along with a deep commitment to advancing a trusted pipeline of evidence-based, accessible women’s health solutions. Prior to joining Athenium, she led policy, public affairs, and research & evaluation at Primary Care Development Corporation (PCDC), working to expand access to high quality primary care and advance health equity in the U.S. She was also the Chief Strategy Officer at the Institute for Community Living (ICL), a large behavioral health and housing provider in New York City. Previously, Cindy was the EVP and VP for Communications at the Guttmacher Institute and Assistant Commissioner of Health Planning at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. She received her master’s degree in public health from San Diego State University and her doctorate in public health from the University of Illinois, Chicago. Cindy currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Abby Long, MPH
Vice President of Marketing
Abby Long is the Vice President of Marketing & Operations for Athenium Pharmaceuticals, offering an in-depth understanding and knowledge of women’s health and public health systems. Prior to joining Athenium, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Operations for a U.S. based women’s health company, where she specialized in public policy, product development, training, and education efforts to improve access to essential care for women. Previously, Abby worked on strategic health planning and program development for the Chicago Department of Public Health and the National Association of County and City Health Officials. Abby is a graduate of University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and received her master’s degree in public health at the University of Illinois, Chicago, with a focus on reproductive health policy and community health planning. She currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Nimish Shah, MBA
Vice President of Manufacturing & Commercial Affairs
Nimish Shah serves as Vice President of Manufacturing & Commercial Affairs at Athenium Pharmaceuticals, where he provides strategic leadership across manufacturing, quality assurance, distribution, logistics, budget management, and FDA-related activities, in addition to select commercial and business development initiatives. Prior to joining Athenium, Nimish spent over 30 years in the pharmaceutical and consumer health industries, holding diverse leadership roles across operations, finance, strategy, and business development. Nimish holds an Executive MBA from Baruch College and a bachelor's degree in aviation from St. Louis University. He currently resides in New Jersey.
